WESLEY CHAPEL GETS NEW LOOK!
Some of the funds given to Wesley Chapel Memorial Fund in memory of Frances Sowers were used to purchase a new church sign for Wesley Chapel. This gift is much appreciated!
Many thanks to Davis McGrew and Stephen McGrew, who helped remove the old sign, and to Stephen, Bill McGrew, Matt Towne, Bob Moore, Bach Bakehouse, and Dick Godfrey who helped reset the new one. Looking good!

WESLEY CHAPEL HARVEST SALE 2020
A beautiful day greeted the 25 folks who turned out for the Wesley Chapel Harvest Sale (Covid version L) 2020. Though bearing scant resemblance to the original event of the late 1940’s (which featured an auction of live produce and wagonloads of grain, a huge craft bazaar and bake sale, and a full-scale dinner), it kept alive the tradition of presenting our blessings and bounty with gratitude to the Lord Who gave it. Thanks to all (especially Nancy McGrew, Treasurer; Stephen McGrew, auction clerk; and Dick Godfrey, auctioneer) and others who helped put the day together and provided items and donations to fund the programs and functions of Wesley Chapel for another year.

Wesley Chapel resumed live worship on August 2, with a celebration of confirmation and communion, followed by a reception for confirmands December, Davis, and Dayann McGrew. It was good to be back in the church building and enjoy some long-awaited (though masked and distanced) conversations with fellow worshippers. Though our attendance was very good, we missed those who could not be part of our fellowship during these strange times. Many thanks to Pastor Joni for her long hours of work keeping us encouraged and inspired through written as well as video messages and worship, and for her efforts with this year’s confirmation class, which included a number of youth from all three churches.
We appreciate Jerry and Matt Towne for trimming up the church yard for our return, especially since we used the outdoors for our fellowship hall! We were thankful that God provided a beautiful day for being outside.
Many thanks to Bob Moore, Jon Bakehouse, Jerry Towne, Dick Godfrey and others who helped with some maintenance work on the church building. We are glad to have the roof repair finally completed as well.
We congratulate the confirmands and welcome them in Christian love into the Wesley Chapel congregation!
